Congrats to Derek Own on catching and releasing this bass on Cross Lake in Shreveport. The size was verified by the Cross Lake Patrol.
Car Crash i220 east in Shreveport
At 8:30pm on March 26th 2013 a car rear ended a van on the i220 bridge in Shreveport Louisiana over Cross Lake. Both Cars burst in flames and fire crews rushed to the scene to put out the blaze. Cross Lake serves as the water supply for the city of Shreveport. Fortunately when the bridge was built precautionary measures were taken for circumstances like this to divert any potential hazardous material from a spill on the bridge into a separate connecting holding pond adjacent to the bridge. Initial reports were that the driver of the van was taken to Christus Shumpert with neck pain. Updates will come as we get them…

Mitt Romney Sign Vandal Caught On Tape In Shreveport Louisiana
Caught red handed? The individual in this video vandalizes and tears down the Mitt Romney signs in a Shreveport neighborhood near Cross Lake is caught red handed, at least on video. The signs were on private property. No arrests have been made. The audio on this video is a bit difficult to understand.
Perp in Red Shirt: “You aiight, I am. I’m good. Nuttin, all dem Mitt Romney signs, tear dat shit from over there……all dem Mitt Romney signs… tear dat shit down.”
This is the 14th time that the home owner Jim O’Brock has had his signs stolen or vandalized before he decided to put up video surveillance.

Cross Lake Patrol Catch Alligator in Neighborhood on Cross Lake in Shreveport Louisiana

The Cross Lake Patrol team does a great job keeping everyone safe out on the lake. Thanks for getting rid of this alligator, I think this might have been the one that a few people saw earlier this year swimming around near Willow Point.
